Hi guys.
It's been a while and I have been busy doing some traditional as well as different stuff. I hope this doesn't offend, it's ART after all. All pearl, no photos!
Here are some recent pieces for a variety of luthiers- some OLFer's, some not..
The light house and sun, about the size of a quarter, came out really cool due the the piece of gold pearl looking so much like a sunset sky. There was a night black pearl piece that went on another guitar to be a sister piece inlay. Both captured the mood in a cool way.
The ARK logos are based on original designs by the luthier, sent to me as files for translation into inlay,
and the Maui girl is for John Decker (founder of Rainsong graphite guitars- he builds classicals in his own time out of traditional materials for clients- 6 a year he says). Each girl is going to be a little different, like each guitar, so there are more girls in the future. This is his own copywrited design, again translated into pearl by me, so don't use it for yourselves!
